Labels Matched to the Job - Not Just Printed

Every surface, environment and applicator asks something different of a label. A bottle on a filling line, a chemical drum stored outdoors, a carton moving through a cold chain – each needs the right facestock, adhesive and print method to stay legible and stay put.

Ventamac’s printed label service covers the full range: blank thermal labels for your own printers, branded product labels in full colour, and durable industrial labels built for harsh conditions. We advise on material and adhesive before anything goes to press, so the label you order is the label that works.

Labels are supplied alongside everything else you despatch with – boxes, tape, voidfill and machinery – consolidating your packaging supply into one account and one delivery.

Standard papers through to polypropylene and laminated stocks for wet, oily or outdoor conditions.

Fast turnaround

Digital printing needs one file and no plates - short runs move from artwork to despatch quickly.

Digital & Flexographic Label Printing

Printed Label FAQs

Common questions about our Printed Label range.

What’s the difference between digital and flexographic label printing?
Digital printing works from a single artwork file with no printing plates, which keeps setup costs low and makes it ideal for short runs, frequent design changes and jobs with many variants. Flexographic printing uses plates and runs one to six colours at high speed, so once a design is established it delivers the lowest cost per label on larger volumes. We’ll quote the method that suits your run – or both, so you can see the crossover.
Which adhesive do I need for my labels?
It depends entirely on the surface and environment. Removable adhesives suit temporary marking and price labelling, permanent adhesives cover most product and despatch work, freezer-grade adhesives hold through cold-chain storage, and marine-grade adhesives are built for wet, oily and outdoor conditions. Tell us what the label is going onto and where it will live, and we’ll specify the right one.
Can you print labels for food, pharmaceutical or chemical products?
Yes. We supply printed labels across the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical, chemical and sanitising sectors, with materials and adhesives chosen for each environment – from freezer-safe food labels to laminated polypropylene chemical labels with permanent adhesive. Colour-coded label sets with multiple background colours and texts can be produced within a single job.
Are there plate or setup charges?
Not on digital work – a digital run needs just one print file, so there are no plate charges and no setup penalty for changing designs. Flexographic jobs use printing plates, which carry a one-off origination cost that pays for itself on longer and repeat runs. We’ll always make the costs clear before you commit.
Do you supply blank labels for my own label printer?
Yes – plain self-adhesive labels are produced on rolls and sheets from a wide range of stock dies, compatible with Thermal Transfer, Direct Thermal and Inkjet printers. Send us your printer model or label dimensions and we’ll match the size, core and adhesive to it. With no ink or plate costs, plain labels are fast and economical to order.
What quantities can I order?
Digital printing makes small and medium runs economical, so you don’t need production-line volumes to order custom printed labels. For high-volume and repeat requirements, flexographic printing brings the unit cost down further. Quotes are free – tell us your quantity and we’ll recommend the most cost-effective route.
Can you also print branded packing tape?
Yes – Ventamac produces custom printed tape with full Pantone colour matching from low minimum order quantities. Combining printed labels and printed tape is one of the most cost-effective ways to brand every parcel you despatch. Visit our printed tape page or ask for a combined quote.
